Objective: Varying degrees of inter-organizational collaboration concerning children at risk has grown rapidly since the 1980s. Collaboration is understood to provide a more holistic view of the child’s needs, lead to better care and treatment, more efficient law enforcement as well as increase knowledge in general. The aim of this presentation is to explore processes and effects, by highlighting
Recent robust stability analysis results for linear time-varying feedback interconnections are based on a time-varying generalisation of the nu-gap metric. The causality of closed-loop mappings is dealt with explicitly, rather than via well-posedness assumptions as is common in the literature. Here, an alternative time-varying gap metric is defined. It is shown that this gives rise to correspondin
Using a system analysis approach compares different systems for handling and treatment of toilet waste and organic household waste. Design issues considered are source separation of urine, use of vacuum toilets and advanced nutrient recovery processes such as Reverse Osmosis (RO). All of the studied systems have low emissions of eutrophy ing compounds. Other environmental effects are mainly relate
A method to solve the change in capacitance of an object in a parallel plate capacitor is developed. The integral representation of the potential is exploited in a systematic way to solve the potential everywhere inside the capacitor. In particular, the change in capacitance is extracted. The method shows similarities with the null field approach to solve dynamical problems.
This article presents a spiral process model for an iterative case study on quality monitoring, conducted in an industrial environment. In a highly iterative project, everything seems to happen at the same time: analysis, design and testing. We propose a spiral process model for case studies, and present a study conducted according to the proposed process. In the study, metrics collected from thre
With diversified requirements and varying manufacturing environments, the optimal production planning encountered in a steel mill became more flexible and also complicated. The flexibility can provide the operators with auxiliary requirements through an implementable integrated production planning. In this paper, a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) model is formulated for the optimal pla
Food retailers might foster consumption of sustainable products by influencing both demand and supply-side characteristics, as they represent the main marketing channel of food products in most of European countries. However, only few European retailers are actively engaged in activities of sourcing and promoting more sustainable products, with current share of sustainable food in the retail assor
