On April 1st Johanna Berggren nailed her PhD thesis. During the ceremony she published the thesis by nailing it to the wall (and online).Nailing is an academic ritual where the PhD theses is made public by being nailed up no later than three weeks before the public defence. This gives people the opportunity to read the thesis in advance, and to prepare relevant questions before the PhD defence.

We welcome two new master thesis student this spring! Medical student William Dufvenberg will investigate hyperspectral imaging in border detection of basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma. Johanna Berggren has received the Anna-Greta Crafoord Award for best PhD thesis at the Medical Faculty, Lund University in 2022 for her thesis Perfusion monitoring in oculoplastic recostructive surgery.
