In a first step, this thesis seeks to provide an understanding of the industry’s situation in 2007 and 2012 and what factors influence the industry with what consequences? In a second step, the aim is to analyse the resources and capabilities necessary for survival in such a fast-paced industry and how that value is created and captured. Based upon the analysis, four observations have been made.
