Publicerad den 4 september 2013
Thursday September 11, Prof. Maria Simi and Prof. Enrica Salvatori, from the University of Pisa, Italy, will hold a Seminar about Digital Humanities in Pisa: education and research
The first curriculum in Digital Humanities in Italy was started ten years ago in Pisa, with the name "Informatica umanistica", by the joint initiative of the Department of Italian studies, the Department of History and the Department of Computer Science. Pisa is a small town characterized by a relative large University, two excellence schools and a big center of the National Resource Council. Pisa has a long tradition in computational linguistics and computer science (the first Italian curriculum in 1969).
