DN2A meeting in Lund/Roskilde 19-21 November 2025
On November 19-21, 2025, the Viking Ship Museum and Lund University will co-host this year's meeting of the Digital Network for Nautical Archaeology - DN²A - which will take place at both institutions.
The participants are colleagues from museums, universities, and others, primarily in Europe. But we also hope to welcome some of our tech suppliers, who can answer the participants' many questions. On Wednesday the 19th, we will be in Lund to visit the university's DarkLAB (Digital Archaeology Laboratory) and hold the more lecture-based part of the meeting. However, DN²A is very much about the exchange of experience among practitioners within digital documentation of ship finds, so on Thursday the 20th we will be at the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde, holding practical exercises and demonstrations of hardware and software.
On Friday, we will visit the Gislinge boat in Holbæk and the Dokø ship in Copenhagen, but participants will also be offered the opportunity to stay at the Viking Ship Museum and see the museum better and possibly continue Thursday's workshop.
If you want to participate, please register no later than October 20. You can find the invitation (with registration instructions) here: https://dn2a.info/event/dn2a-meeting-in-lund-roskilde-19-21-november-2025/ While doing so, don’t miss the opportunity to register as a user on the website: https://dn2a.info/ which will allow you to participate in debate and self-help on the group's forums.
