I Sverige är det inte olagligt att varken begå självmord elleA court in Massachusetts, USA has convicted a young woman of involuntary manslaughter after she pushed her boyfriend through text messages to commit suicide. Verkligheten i sagoform?

Within society, sexual abuse is a subject of taboo and has a number of stigmas attached to it which can make it difficult for children to talk about it let alone make a disclosure as typically can be a relative or someone that the child trusts. The aim of this study was to gain a better understanding of how sexual abuse against children is depicted in children’s literature. Within our study we hav

Healing architecture: Exploration of mental well-being in an urban context

This thesis seeks to explore an architectural typology that can enhance mental healing qualities in the urban structure. Our modern fast-paced lifestyle has a big impact on our mental well-being and our stress levels are constantly high, while our feelings are continuously exposed to different external factors. This minimizes our ability to understand and process them and to finally get through a

Two Step Chair - A high chair for public places

Sitting in a high chair gives a feeling of security and of having control - you get an overview of the room you are in. But high chairs are often difficult to get up on, you feel clumsy, there is no good support for your feet and they are often quite uncomfortable. The research I have done shows that many people therefore reject the high chair, despite the positive feelings it can also give. Thos

ZOOCHOSIS

The zoo is a place where you as a visitor can experience and see wild animals which they probably would not encounter elsewhere. It is a place for learning about our planets nature and biodiversity. Many species are rapidly disappearing due to human activity. There are for example more tigers in captivity than there are left in the wild. One of the zoos most important roles is the conservation of

Platelet count kinetics following Interruption of antiretroviral treatment: Results from the SMART study.

OBJECTIVES: To investigate the mechanisms of platelet kinetics in the SMART study that demonstrated excess mortality with CD4 guided episodic antiretroviral therapy (ART) (drug conservation [DC]) compared to continuous treatment (viral suppression [VS]). Follow up analyses of stored plasma samples demonstrated increased activation of both inflammatory and coagulation pathways after stopping ART.
