I den här uppsatsen jämförs tre svenska översättningar av Jane Austens Emma i syftet att finna vilken översättning som gör källtexten mest rättvisa. Den första översättningen från 1857 gjordes av en okänd översättare; den andra översattes av Sonja Bergvall 1956; den tredje och sista utkom 2010 och översattes av Rose-Marie Nielsen.
