Sweden’s grocery distribution is routed through a limited number of upstream hubs and relies on corridors and ferry links. When disruptions affect a hub or a critical link, reallocations propagate fast and travel times increase, with some areas losing coverage temporarily. Decentralising the whole system is costly, so targeted resilience options must be evaluated. The purpose of this thesis is to
Stormwater pollution is known to alter river water quality, but its impacts on aquatic biodiversity remain poorly understood. This study investigates the effects of stormwater runoff on water quality and benthic macroinvertebrate communities in the Rönne å river, southern Sweden. A field-based study was conducted in rural and urban river sections, comparing pipe discharge sites with nearby referen

Objective To avoid negative effects of drug treatment and need for additional medical care, drug treatment must be individualised. Our research group has developed a model for clinical pharmacy which improves several aspects of the patient's drug treatment. This study describes the process behind these improvements, i.e. drug related problems identified by pharmacists within a clinical pharmacy se
This study utilizes data from 2000 to 2024 together with an EGARCH approach to model the volatility of two indices, the S&P 500 and the S&P 500 Property and Casualty Insurance Sub Industry Index. Which in this paper acts as proxies for the stock market and the property and casualty insurance industry in the US respectively. Data from The Emergency Events Database is used to incorporate dis
Wetlands are integral components of our natural environment since they provide many critical ecosystem services to humanity, such as water purification, climate change mitigation, flood control, and biodiversity. Although wetlands can convey resilience to some degree of changes, they might be vulnerable to climate change. Altered hydrology and rising temperatures can turn the wetland services into

There are competing standards regarding the definition of the crime of “enforced disappearance” under international law. When criminalizing enforced disappearance at the national level as part of their obligations under international law, States which adopt a more narrow definition of enforced disappearance provided in the Rome Statute require victims of enforced disappearance to prove the existen
The city of Moscow has been going through a transformation of its surface transport network during the past decade as part of a broader policy of urban beautification. Despite a renewed interest in public transport, this policy has led to the dismantling of the trolleybus system. This was met with resistance from various groups. Bringing together scholarly discussions on urban growth coalitions an
Allergic rhinitis is an inflammation in the nose caused by overreaction of the immune system to allergens in the air. Managing allergic rhinitis symptoms is challenging and requires timely intervention. The following are major questions often posed by those with allergic rhinitis: How should I prepare for the forthcoming season? How will the season's severity develop over the years? No country yet
The telecommunication industry has been successful in turning the Internet into a mobile service and stimulating the creation of a new set of networked, remote services. Most of these services now run or are supported by cloud computing platforms. Embracing cloud computing solutions is fundamental for the telecommunication industry to remain competitive. However, there are many legal, regulatory,
Applying in situ surface X-ray diffraction (SXRD) together with on-line mass spectrometry during the CO oxidation over Ru(0001) allows a direct comparison of the reactivity of the non-oxidic state with that of the RuO2(110) covered surface. This comparison reveals that the RuO2(110) surface is a catalytically active phase at least as active as the non-oxidic phase. At high CO and O-2 pressures of
Purpose – The performance of service supply chains in terms of service levels and cost efficiency depends not only on the effort of service providers but also on the inputs of sub-contractors and the customer. In this sense, performance-based contracting (PBC) entails increased financial risk for providers. Allocating and managing risk through contractual relationships along the service supply cha
The hybodont form genus Lissodus is taken under revision and found to comprise a number of lineages. Twelve species, stratigraphically extended from the Scythian, Lower Triassic to the Albian, Lower Cretaceous, are retained in Lissodus s.s. Thirteen other species can be included in Lonchidion, here considered as a justified genus, ranging from the Ladinian in the Middle Triassic to the Maastrichti
Factor IX is a vitamin K-dependent procoagulant zymogen of a serine protease. In the presence of Ca2+ the active form of factor IX (factor IXa beta) forms a complex with factor VIIIa on suitable phospholipid surfaces such as aggregated platelets. This macromolecular complex rapidly activates factor X. We have previously provided data that suggest an interaction between the NH2-terminal epidermal g
