Utöver detta rWe present the results of the Swedish Bird Survey, run by the Department of Biology, Lund University, as a part of the National Monitoring Programme of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. The results for 2016 include data from: 565 winter point counts in 2015/2016 (41st winter), of which 281 were carried out during the Christmas/New Year count, 249 summer point count routes (42nd year) an

Computational methods for querying and sampling the Twitter disinformation datasets

This study attempts to apply computational methods to the Twitter Election Integrity Datasets in order to derive a basic descriptive overview of this disinformation data, and to suggest some possible routes for developing these methods to address future research questions. The first case involves the lawsuits filed by midwives in Sweden who claimed to have been discriminated against on the grounds of their religion when they had been turned down for work due to their objection to perfo

DDPC : Automated Data-Driven Power-Performance Controller Design on-the-fly for Latency-sensitive Web Services

Traditional power reduction techniques such as DVFS or RAPL are challenging to use with web services because they significantly affect the services' latency and throughput. Previous work suggested the use of controllers based on control theory or machine learning to reduce performance degradation under constrained power. However, generating these controllers is challenging as every web service app

Time for some changes to ICIS? Reflections on our highest-quality conference

In this commentary, we reflect on the program chair experience of ICIS 2015 to pass on some useful organizational memory for the IS community at large. We also reflect on volunteer effort required for a high-quality conference and the challenges of maintaining quality over a diverse and dispersed reviewing effort. We ask whether we can count on this volunteer effort in a changing higher education

Utarmning och utdöende – tillståndet för rödlistade dagfjärilar och bastardsvärmare
