I became a Ph.D. student autumn 2021. The focus of my thesis is the location and organisation of crofts in the period 1730 – 1910's. Was there a strategy behind the choice of location, and who made the choice? How did the crofters organise their place, and how does the buildings relate to other elements of the landscape? My theoretical starting poing is relational, and in the project I explore how the methods and results are influenced by this. Also, I am interested in subjectivity, and how I as a researcher influence the research.
My case studies comes from the parish of Brönnestad, in the northern part of Scania.
