I became a Ph.D. student autumn 2021. The focus of my thesis is the location of crofts in the period 1650 – 1940's. Was there a strategy behind the choice of location, and who made the choice? How did the crofters organize their place, and how does the buildings relate to other elements of the landscape? Also, I aim to develope methods for citizen science concerning subalterns and crofts.
My case studies comes from the parish of Brönnestad, in the northern part of Scania.
