Person

I graduated in Archaeology, and since then I started to focus on the documentation and management of archaeological data. I got a University Master's Degree in Architecture and Archaeology, through which I developed a particular interest in the digital documentation of archaeological processes and in technology as a means to support the research.

I had different working experiences within archaeological data documentation and management, and through internships carried on at ISTI CNR (Italy) and at the Department of Archaeology and Ancient History at Lund University, I improved my skills in the management and web-publication of 3D archaeological contents and in the use of 3D GIS in support of archaeological practice.

As a doctoral student I am investigating how, in the framework of archaeological data management, technologies can help to find new suitable way for archaeological contents publication within Academia and for their dissemination to the general public.

About the research

I graduated in archaeology with a study on abandoned villages of Sardinia (Italy) at the University of Sassari, and since then I started to focus my interest on the documentation and management of archaeological data.  I got a University Master's Degree in Architecture and Archaeology at the University of Rome La Sapienza, through which I developed a particular interest in the digital documentation of archaeological processes and in technology as a means to support the research.

I had different working experiences at University of Sassari within archaeological data documentation and management, through which I could experiment and improve new documentation techniques and archaeological data management skills.

During a two-year Specialization School degree in Archaeology got at the University of Sassari, I carried internship at ISTI (Istituto di Scienza e Tecnologie dell’Informazione “A. Faedo”), an Institute of the National Research Council of Italy CNR and a three-month traineeship at the DARKLab, Department of Archaeology and Ancient History at Lund University, where I improved my skills in the management and web-publication of 3D archaeological contents and in the use of 3D GIS in support of archaeological practice.

As a doctoral student I am investigating how, in the framework of archaeological data management, technologies can help to find new suitable way for archaeological contents publication within Academia and for their dissemination to the general public.
