Researching the bog body phenomenon and human-bog relations at the intersections of archaeology, environmental humanities, critical plant studies and more-than-humanism.
I explore the creation and perpetuation of narratives in bog body research, the portrayal of bog bodies as a specific phenomenon, and human-bog relations through time. Influenced by environmental humanities, critical plant studies and feminist political ecology, I'm developing the idea of a critical peat/bog studies, as an interdisciplinary thinking-with peat and moss, to engage with what an anthropo(de)centric and distinctly more-than-human-led bog body research could look like in both theory and practice.
Supervisors: Åsa Berggren (LU), Christina Fredengren (SU)
I also teach about multispecies archaeologies and more-than-humanism, on the Masters-level course ARKN11: Archaeological Theory and Material Culture.
