My research concerns early modern knowledge circulation in a broad sense, not least from a microhistorical perspective. In my dissertation, On the Same Turf? Agricultural Knowledge in 1720s Sweden, I examined how authors of books of husbandry in early 18th-century Sweden handled knowledge in relation to several factors.
Between 2011 and 2016, I was employed at the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry within several agrarian-historical projects. Since 2025, I have worked in the RJ-funded KOSA programme, which studies conflict and cooperation between different groups concerning land use and exploitation in northern Sweden from the 17th century onwards. My work concerns the brothers and entrepreneurs Abraham and Jacob Momma-Reenstierna and their mining operations in the Torne Valley during the second half of the 17th century.
In addition, I am working on a project that sheds light on how the concepts of konst (art) and vetenskap (science) were used in early modern Sweden.
