Currently in my second semester of doctoral studies, researching the continued application of digitisation techniques to the area of bog body research, narrative creation and the perception of the bog through time.
My key research areas are:
- the 'phenomenon' of bog bodies in NW Europe
- human decomposition and preservation
- digitisation techniques applied to human remains
- death traditions and folklore
- narrative creation in bog body research
- the bog environment as a landscape/space in general
I'm keenly interested in the human-environmental relationship with the bog environment and the perception of the bog through time. More widely, I am interested in the use of digital techniques in archaeological research, teaching and education, ethics and archaeological theory.
In the Research Portal you can search and find information about all active researchers, units, publications, projects, infrastructures, and more, to get an overview of Lund University research.
