Originally from Kristinehamn, Värmland, I spent most part of my student years at Uppsala where I, besides from the study of the Ancient world, also took courses in Latin and Greek. During my years at Uppsala University I took part in several archaeological field projects in Italy, among which in San Giovenale, Blera, Tarquinia, and Rionero in Vulture. I defended my doctoral dissertation in 2021 and since September 2022 I am Senior lecturer at the Swedish Institute of Classical Studies in Rome.

My thesis project investigates how socio-political and cultural change can be traced in settlement patterns and the composition of the élite in a peripheral area of South Etruria, under the influence of the expansion of Rome and of large Etruscan centres (450–50 BC). I am director for The Blera Archaeological Project, Investigating Etruscan urbanism through multi-resolution archaeology (BlerAP), a collaboration between the Swedish Institute in Rome and researchers from Lund, Istanbul and Rome.
