My interest in archaeology began already in early childhood. It was mainly finds of flint tools that I found by the lakes in Scania that made me specialize in the Mesolithic. Through the years I have found hundreds of Stone Age sites which have been more or less preserved. Not until the late 1980s, when I started to survey Rönneholm peat bog by Lake Ringsjön, did I find sites that were almost perfectly preserved. These sites are not only special regarding the good preservation conditions, but also because the abandoned artefacts are found exactly where they were left. This makes the sites very suitable for intrasite spatial analysis. Since commercial peat cutting has been going on for years in the bog, I got the assignment to excavate several sites. My thesis mainly concerns one of these sites, Rönneholm 6.
