After completing my Bachelor's and Master's studies in classical archaeology and ancient history at Stockholm University, I began my doctoral studies in the same subject at Lund University in the fall of 2024.
My PhD project concerns the use of mythological rapes in Roman material culture. I investigate how a number of myths were depicted and how these could be interpreted in the many different contexts in which we can find them. The tree myths I'm focusing on are the rapes of Europa, Ganymedes and Leda, all perpetrated by the god Zeus, and as a complement I discuss the rape of the Sabines, a purely Roman myth in contrast to the other three.
I teach on our beginner's level course in classical archaeology and ancient history and am further active at the department as doctoral representative.
